Marietta Wealth Management, 472 N. Sessions Street in Marietta, announced John Massey, C.P.A., QKA, recently joined the firm as Director of Retirement Plan Services.
Massey was previously the managing partner of a third-party administrator, Qualified Plans, where he oversaw the administration of over two billion dollars in assets for more than 65,000 participants throughout the U.S. He has extensive experience with technical and regulatory issues regarding employee benefit plans.
He received his Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting from Georgia Southern University. He began his career in public accounting in 1994, and earned his certified public accounting (CPA) designation. In 1997, he left public accounting to specialize in retirement plan administration where he earned his qualified 401(k) administrator (QKA) designation.
Massey is a member of the American Society of Pension Professionals and Actuaries, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Georgia Society of Certified Public Accountants.
